International Islamic University, Islamabad is an international seat of Islamic learning in Pakistan, which provides every opportunity for an all-round and harmonious development of individuals and society and reconstruction of human thought on Islamic foundation. Along with regular mode teaching the University is achieving higher standards of excellence by setting up a wide range and developed distance education mode to offer services to the nationals. The university is providing advance studies, research, education and training in Islamic Disciplines, Humanities, Social, Physical, Natural, Management, and Engineering Sciences. It is promoting reinterpretation of modern thought and research in the various fields and making arrangements for proper dissemination of results of research, through publication and other media of communication through utilizing latest techniques. IIUI is achieving its mission be devising ways and means to develop Islamic personality, building model Islamic behaviour and conduct, inculcating Islamic values in different professionals of all fields of life. Presently, the University has nine (9) faculties and six (6) autonomous academies, institutes and centres. The University is conducting around One Hundred Twenty (120) academic programmes with enrolment of over 17,000 students that include around 7,000 female students. In addition around 2,000 are enrolled in the Iqra Centre for Technical Education (ICTE), a constituent unit of the University. Recently the Directorate of Distance Education has been established which provides a challenging learning environment infused with Islamic values and research based practices to produce balanced, Harmonious educational leaders by providing education through dual mode, who are proactively motivated towards innovation, research and development of nationals and international community.
