NUML in Pakistan organises conference on education and sustainable development

A two-day National Conference on Education and Sustainable Development (NCESD-2017) was held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, Pakistan on October 3-4, 2017. The conference was organised by the Department of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, NUML with the sponsorship of the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan. The conference was aimed at sensitising people about the role of quality education as a key driver of sustainable development.

The conference brought together stakeholders, researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, decision-makers, and academics from all over the country in the field of education. Prof Dr. Javed Ashraf, Vice Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad inaugurated the conference. The conference had four academic sessions in which the participants deliberated upon and shared their valuable insight regarding different issues and challenges relating to the failure to achieve the goal of quality education. The chief guest of the closing ceremony Dr. Arshad Ali, Executive Director, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan appreciated the Department of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, and the management of NUML for organising an informative and illuminating conference on education and sustainable development. The conference successfully ended on October 4, 2017.
