A team from the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad, Pakistan, comprising Prof. Dr. Sufiana Khatoon and Ms. Iqra Azhar, went on visits to promote BLTeae in various cities in Pakistan in September. Universities visited included the University of Education (UoE) Lahore, the Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), the University of Haripur, the Abbottabad University of Science and technology (AUST), the University of Sargodha (UoS) and followed the same approach as the team used to visit the Govt. Girls. High School (GGHS) Shadi Khan District Attock last January.
During each of these visits, the team began by introducing the BLTeae project, explaining that teachers can use the BLTeae modules for their professional development by helping them to build their competence in technology embedded innovative instructional methods. BLTeae posters were translated into Urdu, printed in colourful form and distributed among participants in each institution. The team encountered plenty of enthusiasm, and the hands-on practice sessions they organised were really interactive and lively.
