As an active partner in the BLTeae project, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad, Pakistan is playing a proactive role in achieving its objectives and organised a highly stimulating dissemination seminar on 25th October, 2017. This seminar was hosted and organised by Prof. Dr. Sufiana Khatoon Malik, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The audience included teaching faculty and heads of social sciences departments. Prof. Dr Sufiana Khatoon introduced the aims of BLTeae and shared details about the work to be done by NUML in the project.
The presentation included information about the countries and universities involved in BLTeae, the target population, module development, communication modes of BLTeae, establishment of local committee at NUML for effective implementation of project activities, training of the team in teaching using the Moodle platform and LMS (Learning management system). The budget breakdown and monetary share for NUML in BLTeae was also shared. The dean talked about upcoming BLTeae activities i.e. 5 day training in Bangladesh, 3-Day training in Bhutan and the International Conference in Malaysia. Dr Shazia, Dr Saira and Dr Wajeeha the three course instructors of BLTeae also shared their reflections about developing and testing the modules under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sufiana Khatoon Malik.
Faculty members were enthralled to know about further activities and implementation of BLTeae. They were of the view that the seminar provided them with a deep insight about blended learning practices and many of them exhibited their eagerness to become a part of BLTeae forum.
