A well-attended 1-hour dissemination seminar was arranged by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences in Seminar Hall, CII, Ibn-e-Khaldun Block at the National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad on 20 November 2017. The chief guest at this seminar was Brig. Muhammad Ibrahim, Director General, NUML. Professor Dr Sufiana Khatoon Malik, Country Representative of BLTeae in Pakistan is enthusiastically involved in the BLTeae project. The other partner university International Islamic University, Islamabad representatives also participated in this seminar. Professor Dr Sufiana Khatoon Malik introduce the project by providing details about the aims of the project, countries and universities involved, conceptual framework, target groups and actions required to be undertaken in BLTeae.
Dr Shazia Zamir, Dr Saira Nudrat, Dr Wajeeha Shahid from NUML shared their reflections about module development. They reflected that use of blended learning strategieshhas raised engagement and motivation in the teaching/learning environment and has helped them in moving towards reflective practices in teaching. Dr Nabi Bux Jumani, Director, Directorate of Distance Education, IIUI (BLTeae Partner in Pakistan) shared his views about blended learning practices, his involvement in this project and appreciated Dr Sufiana’s efforts in engaging his team also. The overall objective of this dissemination seminar included providing information to teacher educators about BLTeae and motivating them to get involved in upcoming calls for proposals for ERASMUS+ capacity building projects in the field of higher education for 2018.
