Day 2 BLTeae training: ePortfolio and Video in teacher training in Pakistan

It was a busy day today in NUML (University of Modern Language) Pakistan. Dr Helen Barrett known as “the grandmother of ePortfolio” gave an online presentation based on her extensive experience in this field. Helen described two main approaches to Portfolio development; that of portfolio as process/workspace (supporting learning and reflection) and that of portfolio as product/showcase (supporting assessment/accountability and self-marketing/employment)

BLT partners Sally Reynolds and Mathy Vanbuel from ATiT in Belgium then organised an input on the use of videos in teacher training. This included a talk on the use of video to support both the process of teacher training and classroom teaching. This was followed by a full workshop on designing and developing simple multimedia learning objects.
